Pr. Ahmed DJEBBAR

Biography:

Ahmed Djebbar is a mathematician and researcher in the history of science at the Paul Painlevé laboratory (CNRS), specializing in the mathematics of the Muslim West (Muslim Spain and the Maghreb). He is an Algerian origin.

He is also a professor of mathematical history at the University of Science and Technology of Lille. He is the author of a large number of works, including A History of Arabic Sciences, A History of Arabic Science (Interviews with Jean Rosmorduc), The Arabic Algebra, Genesis of an Art, Golden Age of Arab Science, Arab Science in Africa: Mathematics and Astronomy (with Marc Moyon).

He was the scientific commissioner of the exhibition “The Golden Age of Arabic Sciences” at the Arab World Institute in Paris in 2005.

He was also an adviser to Algerian President Mohamed Boudiaf, who was assassinated on 29 June 1992. From July 1992 to April 1994, he held the position of Minister of Education and Research in Algeria in the governments of Belaid Abdessalam and Redha Malek.

Biography:

Mosbah ZIDANI is currently a Professor in the Faculty of Technology at Batna 2 University. He is the chief of a research team in the LGEM Laboratory at the University of Biskra. He is particularly interested in the development and characterization of innovative metallic materials. He was chairman of the scientific committee of the metallurgy department, member of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Science and Technology and chairman of several doctoral training at the University of Biskra currently he is a scientific advisor at the MESRS and expert advisor at the Cru-Est. The research axes now developed are mainly focused on the experimental study of metal alloys’ microstructures, deformation and recrystallization texture by SEM, EBSD, RX and neutron diffraction.

Pr. Zidani is the author of over forty-five (45) international scientific papers (indexed by: Thomson Reuters /Scopus -Elsevier). He has over 140 participation in national and international conferences in the last ten years, during which he has presented at several national and international plenary conferences as an Invited Speaker. Pr. Zidani has chaired and organized several national and international scientific events and is also a member of the scientific committee in more than forty (40) national and international scientific events. He is the main Editor of the special issue of journals (DF, DDF and SSP indexed by: Scopus -Elsevier) of the scientific.net house in Switzerland and also associate editor and editorial Board Member in several high-level journals (JERA, JNanoR, Journal of Molecular Liquids, JMES….indexed by: Web of Science and Scopus-Elsevier).

Prof. ZIDANI has directed and discussed thirteen (13) doctoral theses and more than thirty-five (35) master’s degree and final projects for engineering students.

Prof. ZIDANI has directed several national research projects (CNEPRU, PNR, PRFU, etc.) with industrial partners, particularly public, in this case: ENICAB-Biskra and TREFISOUD-El Eulma (Sétif), with several national research centres and laboratories: Advanced Technology Development Center (CDTA), Baba Hassan-Algiers (Algeria ), Materials Science and Engineering Laboratory (LSGM), USTHB-Algiers ( Algeria), Center for Scientific and Technical Research in Physico-chemical Analysis (CRAPC), Tipaza (Algeria) and with the following international laboratories and institutions: Laboratory Synthesis, Properties and Modeling of Materials (SP2M), Léon Brillouin Laboratory (LLB) – CEA in France, Bioceramics and Theoretical Atomic Laboratory, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Firat University-Elazig, Turkey and Functional Nanocomposite/Hybrid, Low Dimensional Functional Material Group, Research Center for Advanced Material, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Indonesia.

Pr. Zied Driss

Department of Mechanical Engineering at National School of Engineers of Sfax (ENIS)

Biography:

Pr. Zied Driss received his Engineering Diploma in 2001, his Master’s Degree in 2003, his PhD in 2008 and his HDR in 2013 in Mechanical Engineering from ENIS at the University of Sfax, Tunisia.
He is interested in the development of numerical and experimental techniques for solving problems in mechanical engineering and energy applications. Also, his research has been focused on the interaction between Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Computational Structure Dynamics (CSD) codes. As a result of his research, he is the principal or co-principal investigator on more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals, more than 400 communications to international conferences, 25 books and 70 book chapters. Also, he is the main inventor of 13 patents.
Currently, Prof. Driss is a Team Leader in the Laboratory of Electromechanical Systems (LASEM), an Editorial Board Member and reviewer for different international journals, an Editor for different books, a General Chair of two bi-annual international conferences and an active member in different national and international associations.
